Meet Our Fellows Blog Series: Jeremy Prince

Growing up, I never expected to become a Hoosier, but I couldn’t be more proud now that I am.

I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, just a handful of blocks away from Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. As I made my way through school, I was never really sure where my career would take me. The only certainty was that I loved numbers and working with people. These passions led me a few blocks down the road to DePaul University.

At DePaul, I studied Economics and Media Studies. Economics enthralled me, and I pursued a bachelor’s degree in the subject; I then earned my master’s degree in Economics and Policy Analysis. While at DePaul, some of my favorite courses included Behavioral Economics, Game Theory, and Business Innovation and Strategy. These interests led me to consider careers that would allow me to engage with these subjects in my work.

This desire to apply my academic interests took me across the Illinois border to enFocus in Northern Indiana. My role at enFocus allows me to engage with economic data, strategic plans, and collaborate side-by-side with my team members and sponsors regularly. I get a thrill from conducting data analysis, augmenting strategies, and working with sponsors to create social good day-in and day-out.

I joined the enFocus team because of their intelligence and passion for enriching the local community. While I am still acquainting myself with the South Bend–Elkhart region, I am proud to be a part of a phenomenal team and build up the region that I now call home.

Please feel free to share any recommendations for local restaurants or activities that I can explore!
