How do we engage 52 nonprofit organization to leverage social media to encourage donations on a single day of giving as well as create in a sustainable change in the organizations’ reach? There are multiple elements that contributed towards the success of donor campaigns that focus on a community wide, single day of giving, including: traditional donor awareness and outreach, news and media awareness and outreach, and coordination executions on the Giving Day itself. enFocus focused on using social media with the aim of growing and leveraging the reach of the 52 participating nonprofits to increase the reach of the GiveLocalSJC campaign.
enFocus provided strategy and coordination for social media marketing efforts by ensuring a cohesive campaign message and providing strategy, communication, and support to participating nonprofits. The team provided resources and training by creating best practice materials for Give Local related social media, organizing social media training sessions for participating nonprofits, and providing ongoing support throughout the campaign. These resources and support were provided through 3 separate mass trainings and ongoing communication and support. Additionally, enFocus deployed 9 interns to work with 21 nonprofits that requested assistance to provide more in depth strategy development and support.
