Meet Our Fellows Blog Series: Caleb Marsh
My name is Caleb Marsh and I was born and raised in Granger, Indiana. I graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington with a master’s degree in Information Systems and a concentration in Enterprise Security and Risk Management. During my time at IU, I participated in a number of projects to help small businesses, including one of the most popular local pizza chains in Bloomington. I enjoyed working on these projects because they provided an opportunity to solve complex business problems using technology. enFocus provides the opportunity to work on similar technology projects that make a difference in the South Bend-Elkhart region. I have really enjoyed my time at enFocus so far, due to the impactful work that is being done as well as the people I am working with.
One thing that has made this opportunity special is working with local government, specifically the Health Department, in my hometown. Through school projects, we focused on for-profit business and not the public sector. This project has been a great learning experience, specifically in how government operates compared to commercial entities. I have also gained a great appreciation for the work the local government does which makes South Bend a great place to live.
enFocus has allowed me to learn how a governmental agency operates and how they can use technology to increase operational efficiency.
